Never you quit because you didn’t score
Even when the pain reaches the core
Don’t you listen to that voice in your head
Just think on the following words instead
I know a man who has no feet
And from life’s challenges he doesn’t retreat
He ploughs his field, and stacks his hay
As his rear greets the earth from day-to-day
There’s so much more that I could tell
But like the rain, a tear just fell
If only you’ll take a different view
And see the treasures that lies within you.

Are you in need of a diet that is holistically transformational, reviving, revitalizing and fulfilling then, Cookies with Christ authored by Dami Adedeji is the book you must have and read.
This is one of the best Christian literatures written in this 21st Century. It is rhema and catapulted me to higher realms. This book is sweetly written, it contains living poems and I like the way the author brought in some Nigerian parlance into the book to flavor it.
Many people have material possessions but their lives are bland and empty. Fulfillment is not in fat salary, high position, beautiful house or Porsche car. To find joy you must be in synch with your source – God and this book will help you.
Dami Adedeji is a man who is on fire for God and he daily shares the gospel through ways he can.
This book is a treasure!
Endeavor to get a copy and read it! You will be glad you did.

Reviewer: Ifeanyi Enoch Onuoha
Once upon a time, a novel is fun, educating, inspiring and enthralling. Lavina by Mary Marcus hit a home run with me.
The plot mindlocated me to the Civil Right Era in America. I really connected with the lives of the characters in this novel. I must commend the author for the liveliness of her characters.
This novel will take you on a journey through the emotions of love, courage and hate. It captures every day life and living. The story plays in my head like good music. The novel is easy to read but, difficult to forget. I like Billy Ray, Mary Jacob and Kathryn – the lady with well-endowed boobs.
For anyone looking for a masterly written and beautiful packaged novel, I recommend Lavina by Mary Marcus. It’s a phenomenal read!
The cover design is beautiful and the inside is also beautiful designed and arranged. I must commend both the author and publisher for this good work. I like it!
Mary Marcus is a phenomenal woman who grew up in Louisiana, raised by her mother during the turbulent end of the Jim Crow South. Her works has appeared in The North Atlantic Review, Karamm, Fiction and other numerous literary magazines. She lives in Los Angeles and the East End of Long Island. She authored the novel ‘The New Me‘.
I wished I read the hardcover instead of the eBook because I like to hold this book, kiss, caress it and mark in it as I read.
I love good book, I feed on them and make them a good companion therefore, Lavina by Mary Marcus has won my heart and I recommend it for you. You can now order your copy via Amazon, Barnesandnoble, Indigo and other bookstores near you.

Hinovelty: How are you Sir?
Marc: I am well and I hope that you are too.
Hinovelty: Money, fame or what inspires you to write?
Marc: I regret telling you that none of these really inspires me to write. It’s true that they may happen over the coming years and it would be a great pleasure of accommodating them. But what inspires me more to write is my life and the conditions of health of my mother. Why? Because if you read my book Incredible Paths you will understand most of my life. If you asked me what motivates me to write? I would tell you that is to see my deepest feeling, the stories of my experiments and the books on my site are read, shared as gift with all those which are the spirit of living these same experiments.
Hinovelty: What distinguishes you from other writers?
Marc: What differentiates me in my opinion from other authors is everything that I write reflects my personal life. I do not claim to be an egocentric person but experiments which I made in my life pushed me to write stories that are inspiring and justifying, however, which turned around me or my environment. I think that all I say touches the heart of others even through my blog posts.
Hinovelty: Tell us about your book(s) and three links through which one can purchase them?
Marc: It is always difficult to ask an author to know where to start to speak about his books. Anyway, my books are written in three ways and I will explain to you two of them and the other way can be discovered by the readers themselves. The Incredible Paths http://tinyurl.com/k4lb491 is a personal testimony which explains the reason of my existence. It is the book which has pushed me to create my web site in order to promote inspiring stories. My stories are inspiring and related to our life in general. It is really a book that should be read by anyone who is trying to leave difficult situations and have success in life. The Challenges http://tinyurl.com/kvmftu7 is another very wonderful book which can help to really challenges. If you read this book, you will be able to understand the reason of your existence and why you must face the challenges which are in front of you. Inside the Gift http://tinyurl.com/mrnyebo is also another great book people can read.
Hinovelty: What led you into writing?
Marc: Initially, I must say that I started to write poetry when I was about 12 years old. I remember the first poem very well which I wrote for my mom, even if she didn’t like it too much. I cultivated in my childhood the taste of writing because I liked to read classical poems, stories and others. I believed that one day, I would become a writer beyond everything that I can become in my life because my maternal father had inspired me by some countryside stories that he used to tell me.
Hinovelty: What part is hardest when you write?
Marc: I don’t really have a hardest part when I write because I always find pleasure when I write my books. In any case, the thirty first minutes always require concentration so that I can write with satisfaction.
Hinovelty: Apart from writing, what other thing(s) are you into?
Marc: After writing and blogging, I work and accompanied at the same time companies in quality management as consultant according to the standards ISO 9001 and other referential.
Hinovelty: How important is social media in the life of a writer?
Marc: I think that the social Media has much importance in the life of an author today, especially a Self-Publisher like me. You will agree with me that you and I met through social network of Twitter. It’s by Twitter and my site http://www.raemians.com that I could stay connected with my readers where they are. I think that all Indie Author today are unanimous on the fact that the social networks play a significant role in our life as a writer.
Hinovelty: How is your relationship with your readers?
Marc: My readers, even if they are not numerous are very interesting. Some of them stay in touch with me by e-mail beyond the social networks. When they read my books, they share with me their ideas which encourage me to write even more. Because when you are in liaison with your readers, that gives you a better idea of what you write and how your ideas help them change an aspect in their own life.
Hinovelty: Tell us about Raemians?
Marc: Raemians is the name of my web site. This is my brand name. This acronym means future, beauty and comfort. I would like the readers to feel the previous feeling through my writing. I would like, by reading my books, they find themselves in the future, that they find beauty and comfort at the same time.
Hinovelty: How do you spend your free time?
Marc: Normally, I used my time to do all I have to do. The activities are so numerous, it is difficult to do everything in some hours without counting against time. I often asking me if I really have free times. In fact, I would say that my free times are always used to do something for which I find pleasure, for example, to play with my daughter or to do something which would please my wife as well. Sometimes, we watch TV together or playing tennis.
Hinovelty: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Marc: I would like to study psychology as a new field. I would like to sell a great quantity of books that will be read by million readers, why not. In fact, I hope your readers help me to spread the word and to choose at least one of my books or read my blogs at: http://www.raemians.com . I want to also create two models undertaking prosperous which are in my action plan. Once reached these things, I will share these experiments with the young people who wish to make the same things. I want my family to be more blessed.
Hinovelty: What are you currently working on?
Marc: I’ m working on three other books that I’ll send out soon. As you know, we have lack of time. I have several blogs I intend to publish next week. My fans love fortunately my blogs so much. They are very interesting and can hold several readers in breath.
Hinovelty: Are you single, engaged or married?
Marc: I am married and I am also a father.
Hinovelty: Describe your family in 3 words?
Marc: My family is: Love, patience and Faith. At this point, I must acknowledge that I didn’t have patience at the beginning. Now a day, I cultivated it enormously since I live with my wife and child.
Hinovelty: What is success to you?
Marc: success is to leave a significant trace after you leave this world. It’s not necessary something big. In my opinion, success is progressive and non temporary.
Hinovelty: What’s your advice to upcoming writers?
Marc: I think that anyone who wantsto become writer must read more. It is good to choose a field in which you want to invest yourselves. To do anything in life, it is initially interesting to have the willing to do it. In fact, the best way to ensure doing something is to ack. How you can know that you are not able to write, if you never try to do it? To start is the first step.
Hinovelty: Any words for your fans?
Marc: I love my fans so much the same way I love my friends. Some of them bought my books and gave me their ideas. They shared the message with their friends, they are loyal readers. I want to thank them for their support and tell them that they are all in my heart.

N.K. David is a great doyen and one of the Nigerian-born writers who are influencing the globe positively. We have read his books and articles which are life-impacting. When team Hinovelty Met with him, we discovered that he is very lively, understanding and an inspiring personality who is honest and humble. He is a great leader who believes that if we all can play our parts well, the world will be a better place for all to live in.
Below is our chat with this great maven, enjoy it.
1. Hinovelty: Please sir, introduce yourself to us?
N. K. David: I am an international Author and I am in my last stage of training in the Veterinary profession. I was born in the Eastern part of Nigeria, which is regarded as the Christian part of the country. I have, personally, passed through a lot of struggles especially, in my academic life because of a corrupt educational system. I had to stand and fight against the corrupt educational system. I am glad that some people in the sector answered my call and worked to change the system but unfortunately, the change is always in progress. It was during the struggle and in my quest for answers from higher planes of existence that my first book, “It is time we truly know why Jesus wept at the grave of Lazarus,” was born and published to predict the end of the struggle and to send some messages to humanity. I hope to publish the true-life story of the struggle in a book, “Proffered solution to the problem with Nigeria: Where Chinua Achebe stopped.” I have currently published five books.
I grew up in a Christian family and I witnessed many hate speeches among various Christian sects. Consequently, I saw the need for freedom and religious tolerance, equity and justice for all. It is a shame that man is divided by religion just as man was once divided by the color of his skin. That is one thing I trust we can change our sense of reasoning and understanding of religion and how it affects our relationship with our fellow man. My principle is base on the Golden rule.
I was interviewed by Indies in Motion – a global radio station that features rising stars. I made Golden Nugget on muttonline. and I have an accolades like the most engaging writer on hubpages where I blog. My debut book, “It is Time we truly know why Jesus wept” made it in UBAWA (Urban Book Authors and Writers of America) best first 50 books of 2013.
2. Hinovelty: What are your selling points?
N.K. David: the inspiration to new ideas yet unknown to many.
3. Hinovelty: What inspires you?
N.K. David: What inspired me to write my first book is different from what inspired me to write my third book and so on. However, in general my inspiration is my desire to send messages across to humanity and my quest to help create a more peaceful world united in the brotherhood of man.
4. Hinovelty: You are a medico and a writer, how do you combine this two tasking things?
N.K. David: well it is not so easy being in a medical training profession or practicing and being a writer. There are times one has to go on ambulatory services or be on call duty or hospital duty or public health duty and, you know, we keep studying and learning each day so that we can improve ourselves in our various professions. The profession involves hard work and I am glad that I am not found wanting.
In as much as we may not write all day but we need to think and make use of our imagination. It means many things happen in the same brain and that is the fun of it. There is also the need to always keep abreast with my fans on social media.
5. Hinovelty: Please tell us names of your published book and which bookstore(s)
can they be purchased?
N.K. David: Currently, I have published five books and the books –
”It is time we truly know why Jesus wept at the grave of Lazarus”
“My Game: The Switch “
“Formula for reincarnation (Rebirth equation)”
“Most perfect exchange: The cost of liberty”
“Noble Killers: Left Eye” are available on Amazon and other global bookstores.
6. Hinovelty: Among all your published books, which is your favorite read?
N.K.David: (chuckles.) This is a difficult question because it is like asking a mother her favorite child when she knows that she has wonderful children. Even though they may differ in various ways, yet each of them carries her gene of greatness. That little gene is what separates them from other bloodlines. However, if I must choose then I shall give it to my first book, “It is time we truly know why Jesus wept at the grave of Lazarus.” This is because it is a book that was born out of struggle and it has inspired many lives. The book continues to inspire me each time I read it.
7. Hinovelty: You have written many books but, recently you released ‘Noble
Killers: Left Eye‘. What do you want to achieve through this book?
N.K. David: I am fortunate that Ifeanyi Enoch Onuoha, a leader at Hinovelty wrote the foreword of this great book so it is a plus to the book. Moreover, the book was, recently, among muttonline book of the month for May/June 2014. The book exposed the main problems in Nigeria and some other countries. Then the book also pointed to the way out of the situation. Consequently, the book is a wake up call with the primary objective of opening the eyes of Nigerians and Africans. That is if we want to stop being sick. We no longer have to pretend that we are not the cause of our problems. I know there are good and honest people in Nigeria but they need to be brave enough to act. It is not going to be easy changing the tradition over night but we must start somewhere.
8. Hinovelty: Is Nigeria a failed state?
N.K. David: If I say ‘Yes or No’, some people will not understand why. The reason is that most Nigerians do not understand what patriotism means so to such people it is wrong to speak ill of one’s country. Unfortunately, many of them are same people who turn the country into a mess so they do not want the ugly picture to get outside the country. Then for those who ignorantly support them, I want them to know that those who have the courage to, openly, condemn corruption do so not to destroy the country’s image but so that we know that, we have a problem and then look for a way out of the problem. That is the best form of patriotism. We can only look for a cure if we admit that we are sick. Nigeria failed in many ways. For instance, it is because of security failure that we have the Boko Haram situation in the country. This is because the wealthy Nigerians and politicians have their own security so the Government failed to protect the streets and the citizens. Now the streets have become so dirty that the security agencies do not know what is happening in various houses. They do not have the data or the intelligences.
The worst part of it is that Nigerians claim to be most religious country even more religious than the white men that introduced the religion yet one of the most corrupt countries in the world. When did it become wise for corruption and religion to increase in the same proportion? I once wrote an article in which I wonder if the corrupt Nigerian leaders do not belong to any religion.
9. Hinovelty: You are an advocate of religious tolerance, how do you think
Nigeria can overgrow and overcome religious bias and ethnicity which
is the root cause of its problem?
N.K. David: the main thing I do is to do my best to treat people, as I would want them to treat me. That is the golden rule that is in all world major religions yet it is the only law that is ignored. In Christianity Jesus, himself, not Paul or others said, “Do unto others as you would want done to you. That is the law and the prophets.” Moses in Judaism said it in his own way but what I like most in his statement is that he said, “ the summary of everything is treat others as you want to be treated. Every other thing is commentary.”
In my work on religious tolerance, I stated the way forward. The primary way out is for the religious leaders and preachers to change their pattern of teaching. This is because it is their teachings that make their members to see others as enemies. Even among Christians, there is a big problem. It is obvious that each religious sect wants to grow in number and that is where the problem starts because they continue to preach why they are better than others instead of preaching the common virtues like love, peace, unity, justice among others.
It is because of religious intolerance/bias and ethnicity that Nigerians are concern about the next president. This is because the country is only united in the maps and on paper. This is where the biblical injunction of “a nation divided against itself shall not stand.” It means the religious leaders have a lot of work to do in their various religious settings if they want to help the country.
10. Hinovelty: Recently, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in a media chat said corruption and stealing are not the same thing. Do you see Mr. President as the leadership messiah Nigeria desperately need?
N.K. David: I heard people saying that Mr. President made such comment and I wonder if it is a joke. Well, it depends on the way he looked at it. May be, he decided to use stealing when a leader steals public fund then he uses corruption when a leader abuses his powers. The only bad news here is that what he is just trying to tell us is that the Nigerian leaders steal and are corrupt. Therefore, next time we mention corruption, we do not forget to add stealing. It is not easy to be the President of a country but, he I do not think he has done enough especially in cases of missing fund, excessive spending, etc. He may not be responsible for most of them happening but, how he handles the situation is vital.
11. Hinovelty: Is any profession or career greater than another?
N.K. David: I do not think any profession is better than the other profession. This is because it all depends on an individual in the profession and not on the profession. For instance, a painter that loves painting and does his work well with commitment can go places than a medical doctor who does not put much effort in his profession. Consequently, it is all about doing what you love and enjoy doing.
12. Hinovelty: Who are the people that influenced your life – mentors/role models?
N.K. David: Men like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Nelson Mandela among other men that lived and stood for something in the interest of all.
13. Hinovelty: In three words describe your family?
N.K. David: A wonderful family
14. Hinovelty: If you are to change one thing in Nigeria, what will that be?
N.K. David: The vision of Nigerians especially the leaders.
15. Hinovelty: Some people write to make money or become famous, why do you write
and which other writers do you like their works?
N.K. David: well, I write to send a message that will make us think and encourage us to continue working and fighting for a positive change so that someday when the struggle is over, the world will recall my inks on papers.
16. Hinovety: How do you spend your free time?
N.K. David: This is one thing I never really thought about because I do not set aside any time as free time. However, I can go for a sport, join my friends and fans on social media, read and write among others
17. Hinovelty: What’s your advice to youths?
N.K. David: it is obvious that many of us are in a very deep narcosis so I think it is time for us to wake up. The most unfortunate aspect is that the youths are not thinking differently from the leaders. That is most of us will not make any difference if given an opportunity to lead this great nation because we think corruption is a norm. That is if one is not corrupt then it means one is a fool or not sharp, in the parlance of the youths. We know that it is wrong for youths who expect change in their generation to fail to change the cause of their problems. It is because ignorance that many youths sell their birthright during elections for a pot of porridge by helping to rig elections. Basically, the change should start from the youths because we are the leaders of tomorrow. That is we have to be the change we want to see.
Hinovelty:Presently, N.K. David’s newest book: ‘NOBLE KILLERS – LEFT EYE’ is among the books in 6th Ubawa’s book cover contest. Amaka Imani Nkosazana, Author of Sweet Destiny and Release The Ink by Bernadette Watkins
2. Why do you write?
I write because it gives me the ability to express myself to the world. Often times, I share information that inspires myself and others. It might be about life in general or something specific. I write because people need to read positive uplifting stories. There is so much negativity in the world. We need to be able to read something good every once in a while.
3. What inspires you?
I am inspired by God. I am also inspired by like-minded individuals who share words of wisdom.
4. There are billions of women living in the world today, what are the selling points that distinguishes you from this great number?
Well, I write fiction and poetry. I would say what distinguishes me from other authors is my ability to interpret exactly what the reader would enjoy. For example, when I write, I know how to perceive the next best information to share. Also, I am reliable, honest, and capable of doing the necessary research to engage the readers. I have the capacity to reach many people through the information that I share by focusing on the characters in the story and being specific. When I write, I do so from the heart. And, my poetry is designed to inspire others. I feel that I am distinguished from others by the passion that put into my works.
5. As a teacher and lover of children how do you think we can create a better world and what are you doing to make this happen?
I think we can create a better world by enhancing the minds of the children to change the world. Children need positive role models. There are so many adults who are not training their children in the proper ways to be upright citizens today. They allow them to access unhealthy videos and pictures online, doing rude and vulgar things and using foul language. The parents think that is cool. But, I tell you this is in no way cool. I think it has something to do with the children being born and not having a good role model to look up to. I believe in order to help someone else you must first be able to help yourself. So, It starts in the home by raising your children to have respect and integrity. This causes children to grow up and have their minds shaped and formed to to do great things in the world. If the children can be transformed to the person that God created them to be, the entire world can be transformed. They become our future leaders, inventors, and visionaries, etc.
6. Do you have any role model?
I would say that Maya Angelou is my role model. I am inspired by her wisdom and poetic expression. I could never forget when she said if you have but one smile in you give it to the ones you love. Also, If you don’t like something change it, if you can’t change it,then change your attitude.
7. In three words describe your family?
Hmm, describe my family in three words, I would say Faithful, Truthful, and Courageous.
8. Divorce is an evil wind that is tearing marriages apart today, what advice do you have for singles and married that can help them enjoy blissful and successful matrimony?
My advice would be to never allow your love to be with material things because they can easily be gone. There are too many people who get married based on what someone can do for them. Make sure you are financially stable an able to carry your own weight before you join in unity with another person. Don’t look for them to carry the load. A marriage is 100/100 each person doing all they can to manage the family, finances, and the household. There is no room for selfishness in a marriage because all it does is destroy the union. Be grounded in your connection to God because he is the ultimate inspiration that will nourish the marriage through your prayers.
9. What goal do you have that you believe when it comes alive will impact lives positively?
I have a goal to write more books and inspire children positively. I believe when it comes alive people will be impacted to change for the better by choosing to live healthier, happier lives. By empowering the children, the crimes in our world can be decreased. By reading my uplifting books and inspirational stories, people will decide to make a difference in the world by helping in their communities with awareness and poverty.
10. What is your view about Africa?
I do know right now 2014 there is a crisis in Nigeria, Africa that needs to be resolved. A terrorist group called Boko Haram is terrorizing the country and killing many innocent lives. I do know that Africa is a land of many valuable resources. If the politicians in Africa would help the people by creating more jobs, the businesses would be more productive and the economy would be better in Africa. It seems that people in high places and positions are not doing everything in their power to help Africa.
11. We are living in an ever-changing world where people encounter different kinds of challenges daily, what words of encouragement do you have for your fans and the general public?
Yes, People have many different kinds of challenges everyday. I have written some information about achieving your goals in life and I will share it here. If you have that burning desire to accomplish a goal, go for it! There is nothing in your way except your thoughts. When you believe that you are capable of achieving success, it happens. Sometimes you are ready and sometimes you must take small steps. Either way, you are bound to reach your destination. The road may seem rocky at first, but it will eventually become smooth. Take the route that you feel most comfortable. Use the resources that you have and don’t let pride convince you to stay there in one place. Seek guidance along the way. Many people will doubt you and some may tell you that it’s not a good decision. Stick with your gut feelings because you know exactly what you want to do. There is no one in this world who could know better than you. It takes time to develop a skill that is worthwhile. Don’t be discouraged if at first you do not succeed. Pick yourself up and try again, and again.
